Eat Right
If not vegetables, then drink green smoothies; just drop some collards, broccoli, spinach, and dandelion leaves into the blender, add water. Drink the smoothie with your breakfast, pour some into a container and take to work for lunch. Stop eating fast foods, store bought foods!!!  Drink green smoothies in the morning and afternoon. Eat vegetables a couple times a day. Drink plenty of water.

Vegetables and Diabetes – Help Against Type 2?

“50% Vegetables,  50% Other & Water – No Diabetes!”

Every morning for the past two years I have blended a green organic vegetable smoothie. I drink one to two 8 oz glasses; some people refer to this type of green drink as “drinking raw.”

Green smoothies are easier to fix than mixing a salad. I simply drop a bunch of vegetables into a blender, add water, blend and drink, that’s it! Vegetables and Diabetes and Kids Better Health

I attribute this raw organic vegetable consumption of green smoothies the reason why my health has helped me to defeat the type 2 diabetes. Organic Vegetable Gardening for Better Health

If there is a section in your yard that you have piles dead leaves, you might have the best soil conditions for an organic vegetable garden. In my own yard I never cover my soil with mulch and I never rake out the dead leaves; lots of leaves remain in my yard hidden behind the shrubbery over the winter. As the leaves decompose they release nutrients into the soil (free nitrogen), the soil is also turned into a heap of rich jet black dirt.

I had been raking and piling leaves onto a couple of spots in the corner of my yard for over several years. One summer I decided to plant some organic collard greens, bell pepper, hot pepper, broccoli, early gird tomatoes, and spinach. These organically grown collard greens were the absolutely best tasting collards that our neighbors, my wife, her friends and I had ever tasted in all our entire lives.

So, I loosened the soil in my organic chemical-free garden by turning it upside down with a pitch fork, then I raked it to a smooth surface.

Planting the Seed in the Organic Vegetable Garden

I first dip the ball root of the seeding plant into a bucket of water that is fortified with liquid organic fertilizer (not really necessary since the enriched soil contains all the natural fertilizer from all the decomposed plant materials.) This root soaking gives the plants a good head start by immediately feeding the plant through the root system and provides a little insurance just in case there is little rain or if I might forget to water the plants everyday for the first several days. With the trowel I hit the soil on each side of where I would place a vegetable seedling–this soil indentation will help hold the water around the base of the plant and prevent run off away from the plant. I plant seedlings root ball just level or slightly lower that the earths surface, and I’m moving on to the next plant to repeat the process until all forty eight plants are planted. This doesn’t take long, it’ll give kids some needed play-ercise.

I used no commercial chemicals on the plants for pest control, I planted a line of marigolds every other row between the vegetable plantings to ward off bugs. For the tomato plants I wrapped the stem with a piece of paper bag to keep cut worms at bay.

What has organic vegetable gardening have to do with diabetes? Everything health related. Organic gardening is proactive illness prevention. How pure the food will directly dictate your kids health for everyday of their lives. If your children are experiencing heart problems–scrutinize their food, weight problems–scrutinize their food, cognitive problems–scrutinize their food.

A large percentage of all health issues are commercial supplied food related.

Organic green vegetables are high carb foods that are better for good health.
